We're incredibly excited to present a 35mm screening of George Miller's phenomenal post-apocalyptic action film THE ROAD WARRIOR (1981).

The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior) is the quintessential post-apocalyptic fantasy film. It spurred numerous imitators hoping to capitalize on the success of Miller's immensely riveting action piece. Mel Gibson once again fires up his V8 Supercharged Interceptor as the stoic Max Rockatansky, a loner roaming the vast wasteland of the Australian outback. This time, he's counted on by a group of survivors to help keep their stronghold and supply of gas protected when a brutal band of marauders sets their sights on the bounty.

Miller populates his film with colorful and resilient survivors Papagallo (Michael Preston), the Warrior Woman (Virginia Hey from Farscape), and the Feral Kid (Emil Minty), pitted against larger-than-life villains Lord Humungus (Kjell Nilsson) and his psychotic right hand dog-of-war Wez (Vernon Wells).

The action scenes are breathtaking and easily hold up today as some of the most intense sequences in cinematic history. Come see and feel the roaring engines and deafening sounds of impact as these tribes battle it out in the scorching desert.
